Although Marc and I have never met face-to-face, we have been friends for a number of years. He runs a successful property listing website (www.propertyclassifieds.co.za), and is also an avid gamer. He wasn’t aware that I was a freelance graphic designer when he told me about his website, it was only when I pointed out some issues with his logo, and suggested some design options that he officially asked for my help. He recently got involved in airsoft, which is starting to take-off in a big way in South Africa. He saw a business opportunity to import, sell and support all things airsoft, and he put together a OS-Commerce website. While I did not create the shield emblem used in the logo, I fixed up the fonts, backgrounds and basically completed the logo. I also designed a new OS-Commerce theme/skin in Photoshop, which his developer then sliced and implemented into his site.
